Mint Chocolate Latte

With holidays quickly approaching its only natural to start craving those delicious festive drinks.

As someone who has never been known to turn down a walk to Starbucks for an almond milk latte, I felt inspired this year to do my best to craft my own. That way I can control the quality of the ingredients and the amount of sugar that goes into each cup! Plus, I find it tastes even better than a purchased latte, and its cheaper to make too.

Mint Chocolate Latte

*Makes two servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of brewed decaf (or caffeinated) coffee

  • 2 tbsp of organic cocoa powder

  • 4 pitted dates (soaked) you can add more if you prefer sweeter

  • Mint tea leaves steeped in 1.5 cups of filtered hot water or 1/2 tsp of peppermint extract

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp coconut cream

Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend on medium to high to get it extra frothy.

Now that the beautiful snow has fallen, this is one our favourite late afternoon drinks to sip on while we walk our dog.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
